Recipe

Ingredients:

Orange + Red layers:

1 cup frozen papaya

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1/2 cup blackberries

3/4 cup of coconut water

Pink + Yellow layers:

1 cup of frozen pineapple

1/4 cup pink pitaya

1/4 cup strawberries

1/2 cup of water

Method 1:

Starting with the orange layer, add papaya, lemon juice and 1/2 cup of coconut water to a blender, blitz until smooth. Transfer 3/4 of the smoothie mix into a separate vessel and place in the freezer.

For the red layer, add blackberries and 1/4 cup of coconut water to remaining papaya mix and blend until smooth. Transfer to other vessel and put in the freezer.

Rinse out the blender.

For the yellow layer place pineapple and water into the blender and blitz until smooth.

Remove 3/4 of the pineapple mix place in a separate vessel in the freezer.

Add both pitaya and strawberries to remaining pineapple mix and blend until smooth.

For layering, your guess is as good as mine. To get them nice and even I almost think you would need to freeze each layer individually, adding the next every 30 minutes or so later but I don’t got time for that so I just gently spooned each layer in the order I thought best (pink, red, orange, yellow), starting from the outside and working in to the middle.

And there you have it! Sunrise good morning fruity deliciousness!!

Method 2: – (The one I will be opting for in the future 😉 )

Place all ingredients in the blender and blitz until smooth. Et voila, tastes the same, looks a little less pretty but excellent for someone who doesn’t want to wash multiple vessels/ spend the extra time making 4 different smoothies!!
