Ingredients

Smoothie:

1 cup frozen wild blueberries

1 frozen banana (chopped)

1 big handful of sunflower sprouts

1 big handful of spinach

1/2 cup mixed frozen berries

300ml coconut water

Topping:

2 fresh dates (chopped)

1/2 cup of chopped fresh mixed berries

1tsp organic Hawaiian spirulina powder

Shot (on the side):

1tsp dulse flakes

1tsp barley grass powder

100ml filtered water

Fresh coriander

Method:

Add all smoothie ingredients to blender and blend for 1 minute or until smooth.

While the smoothie is blending, prepare fresh fruit for topping, can add other fresh fruits if desired. This one I leave out any nuts, seeds etc. It’s all about the fruit!

Combine ingredients for shot (mix with teaspoon) – I take the shot first because I don’t like the taste all that much.

Place half the chopped fruits into a bowl, pour the smoothie I’ve. Add the rest of the chopped fruits and the spirulina on top. Then enjoy all the delicious detoxifying goodness.

This recipe is inspired by The Medical Medium. I precede the smoothie with a big glass of freshly squeezed celery juice as per his protocol. Of all the things that have helped me with my health so far, this has been the most beneficial.
